About the role
Develops methods to isolate and identify conditions affecting program effectiveness, susceptibility to fraud, and the potential for increased efficiency. Assesses the potential to reduce cost in a variety of programs, projects, and functions such as information technology, financial management, and program eligibility and delivery systems. Conducts systematic examination and appraisal of financial and program records. Conducts performance audits related to the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse. Prepares and or edits working papers, summaries, and formal reports of audit findings.
