About the role
Duties include but are not limited to: Researches, evaluates and then summarizes information for analytical reports and recommendations on a variety of administrative issues. Establishes and maintains historical records and files as directed by the supervisor or higher graded specialists. Compiles and reviews financial and/or budget data. Provides advice and guidance to BLS managers and employees concerning various routine human resources issues. Serves as the BLS Regional Office focal point for processing employee training documents; creates log and enters document numbers, enters data into the appropriate systems and coordinates dates with training vendor. Sets up travel profiles and authorizations for new hires, and establishes time and attendance profiles for them. Enters, reviews/edits, and reconciles logs for purchases, and investigates errors to resolve problems in reporting. Handles service calls for all BLS equipment and telephones and coordinates requests for additions or cha
