SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST - Direct Hire Authority

Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates Host Unit Flight Safety and Flight Test Safety programs necessary for the overall risk reduction and risk mitigation of all flight and flight test activities affecting a complex multi-mission installation supporting tenant units from four Air Force MAJCOMs as well as US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Army, AFSOC, and USSOCOM forces and civilian/contractor aircraft operations. Maintains ready status as an Investigative Officer for local and command Safety Investigation Boards, supports Safety Investigation Boards of multiple MAJCOM tenant units and locally-based sister services. Ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations/standards by personnel from base-assigned and tenant flying organization of four USAF MAJCOMS as well as sister services and civilian/contractor aircraft operators.
