About the role
Provides leadership, expert assistance and authoritative advice to other subject matter experts and personnel within and/or outside the agency on the interpretation of governing policy in the designated procurement program area. Researches the most sensitive, complex or otherwise controversial issues, utilizing all resources available (i.e, other SMEs, contract law/precedent research, agency policy contacts, etc.). Analyzes and interprets such guidelines in terms of the issue/problem and assists in the development of definitive policy recommendations. Serves as a primary agency contact for key programmatic decisions in the assigned procurement area related to the program office portfolio.
