About the role
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Department of Defense and command headquarters expert as a commercial aviation operations analyst, applying Air Force military or commercial rated pilot experience and civilian airline knowledge/experience to inspect/analyze all operations aspects of commercial passenger and cargo air carriers providing or attempting to provide air transportation to the Department of Defense (DoD).Duties Applies extensive Air Force, military, or commercial pilot experience in conducting evaluations of commercial air carrier operations of major, regional, and on-demand airlines utilizing turbine, turboprop, and reciprocating fixed and rotary wing aircraft, both domestic and foreign, against DoD Commercial Air Transportation Quality and Safety Requirements for commercial air carriers as outlined in 32 CFR 861, Federal Aviation Regulations, and industry standards.
