Registered Nurse- 4NW/SDU/Telemetry

Duties include but not limited to: The 4NW Registered Nurses (RNs) recognize early signs and symptoms and medical treatment of dysrhythmias, performs assessment and reassessment of the medical-surgical patient, and treat pain appropriately. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. ACLS certification required upon entry into position and maintained throughout employment. Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment (BART) training required within 6 months of hire. Experienced RNs may challenge this requirement by taking an exam in lieu of the class. All RNs must successfully pass a BART exam during the initial training and annually thereafter.
