About the role
You will supervise a workforce of technical specialists and administrative civilian personnel. You will develop both long-range and short-range business plans and objectives for accomplishment of the Field Office mission in support of the Navy's Explosives Safety Management Program (ESMP) and mission. You will evaluate the progress of the organization in meeting long and short-range plans and refine objectives on a recurring basis. You will conduct and supervise explosives safety and security program inspections (ashore and afloat), compliance checks, and provide appropriate recommendations for corrective action. You will review facilities drawings of proposed construction plans for shore activities concerning Explosives Safety Quantity Distance limitations, ordnance storage criteria and newly developed weapon locations.
