About the role
Major duties include, but are not limited to: Assist in maintaining control of the section by coordinating, organizing and executing the workload while identifying efficient workflow patterns within the department. Trains new Technologist, students and staff on procedures, equipment operation and radiation safety practices. Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures not limited to visceral, peripheral and cardiac angiography, thrombolysis and embolization requiring the use of needles, syringes, wires, catheters, balloons, stents and contrast mediums. The Advanced DRT must have knowledge of contrast mediums and their effects and adverse reactions. The incumbent works closely with the other Technologists, Radiologists, Clinicians, and clerical staff to assure that optimum quality control, efficient coordination of services, high quality diagnostic exam results, and patient satisfaction are achieved.
