Archivist - Mid to Experienced Level (Maryland)

An NSA Archivist's overarching role is to manage the proper and accurate arrangement and description of NSA federal records; in accordance with NSA policies, mission-related requirements, and accepted industry standards and practices; to ensure their long-term preservation and accessibility for operational, business and investigative purposes. The long-term preservation and availability of NSA federal records supports continuity and consistency throughout Federal administrations and agencies, assists Federal leaders and officials with making informed decisions, and allows NSA to meet mission-related, litigation, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) obligations and provide relevant information to Federal oversight agencies when required. In addition, NSA Archivists provide direct support to researchers across the Federal Government, plan and present history-related exhibits and outreach initiatives, and support publications and other engagement efforts, in order to promote proper archi
