About the role

Serves in the Field Office as the primary point of contact between USCIS and congressional offices tracking inquiries and providing updates regarding immigration law. Plans and conducts outreach and education activities with congressional offices to promote and inform them about programs and initiatives related to USCIS policies, programs, and procedures. Explains statutory and regulatory requirements and processes that govern adjudication processes, and answers questions that Members of Congress and their staffs might have. Communicates high-profile and emergent concerns to field leadership for potential action or elevation. Adjudicates applications and petitions for immigration benefits based on electronic or paper applications/petitions.
