Surgical Specialty Registered Nurse

Duties and responsibilities of the Surgical Specialty Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to: Surgical Specialty Care Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal specialty care. Surgical Specialty RN is responsible for the surgical and non-surgical patient care while utilizing all aspects of the nursing process and works in collaboration with the care coordinators, providers, residents, surgical technicians, and nurse manager. The RN systematically assess the health status of individuals and documents related health data in accordance with institutional policy providing pre, intra, and post procedure care. The clinic RN will administer medications, perform treatments according to policy and observes for changes in the patient's condition from ordered medications/treatments and reports said changes immediately.
