About the role
Performs repairs to buildings and quarters. Applies premixed paints or stains to masonry, gypsum board, or wood surfaces using brushes or rollers. Performs plumbing tasks such as replacing hose bibs, valves, unions and elbows, fixtures, toilets, flush valves, faucets, and various types of pipe and copper lines. Patches and repairs roofs consisting of built-up tar and paper, metal, as well as foam roofs and asphalt shingles. Performs electrical tasks involving making repairs that can be accomplished by removing, replacing, tightening, splicing, and insulating defective wiring and fixtures. Performs masonry work of limited difficulty involving the maintenance, repair, construction, and/or stabilization of historic sites built of stone, mortar, or adobe, and/or contemporary buildings, features, or structures.
