About the role
The inspector performs complex assignments. Serves as an individual contributor, team member, or as a project/team leader for routine work activities. Applies advanced technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, special manufacturing processes, and techniques used in the manufacture of aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers, and products. Also, applies knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration's regulatory requirements relative to type, production, and airworthiness certification. The ASI determines conformity of prototype products utilizing the manufacturer's quality procedures, experience, inspection personnel, equipment and facilities. In addition, the ASI evaluates the adequacy of processes and procedures to determine if the aeronautical product/article is reproducible after certification. The ASI is involved in the planning and implementation of a full range of Type, Production, and Airworthiness Certification programs at aerospace organizations within Certificate Manag
