What will I do in this position if hired? In this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Mitigation) position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Disaster Operations Branch Chief for the Mitigation Division), leading the delivery of Hazard Mitigation programs during disaster operations. Duties include: Typical assignments include: Supervise a team of 9 staff to ensure effective delivery of hazard mitigation programs in the field during disaster operations. Serve as the primary liaison between regional mitigation programs and field-delivered operations to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Provide expert guidance and strategic direction to support State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) partners in recovery and rebuilding efforts, with a focus on streamlining and expediting the delivery of programs such as the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).
