About the role

As the Contract Officer, you will: Serves as the principal contract/business advisor to major program office(s) and represents OIG as the Program Office's contractual authority. Plans, develops, and establishes the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition support for the requirement. Advises requiring activity managers of their roles and responsibilities in meeting program needs through the procurement system. Identifies and recommends strategies for enhancing competition and recommended sources. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), OIG, and DOL policies and procedures. Oversees long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the work directed. Manages the implementation of policy in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
