Supervisory Education Program Specialist

As a Supervisory Education Program Specialist, GS-1720-14, your typical work assignments will include the following under supervision: Serve as the expert advisor and consultant to management, administrators, and educators within the district/region concerning special education programs and administrative issues. Develop and implement long-range and short-range professional program plans. Ensure schools submit Part B applications to supplement ISEP 15% instructional funds and that funds are utilized for intended purposes. Ensure schools develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student with disabilities. Monitor and ensure schools have the required licensure/certification for special education teachers, paraprofessionals and related service providers.
