About the role
The primary purpose of this position is: To provide on/off equipment maintenance for the 5th Generation aircraft. Responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, modifying and maintaining advanced composite components, internal and external along with accessories of aircraft structures assemblies/sub-assemblies and low observable systems, sub-systems and applicable aircraft specialized coatings. Maintain the low observable system and sub-systems via health evaluation/quantification systems. Prepare aircraft for, and perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, repairs, maintenance, modifications and TCTOs. Identify, remove, and prevent corrosion including proper application of corrosion inhibitors. Provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein. Reads, interprets and understands engineering drawings as well as manufacturing process specifications for coatings/plastics applications on low observable aircraft, parts, and assemblies Plans and lays out work
