About the role
You will use the experience and knowledge gained by direct patient care to review the medical waiver packages of applicants to determine suitability for Naval service. You will request additional medical information, records, evaluations, consultation, studies and reports, required to make a waiver recommendation based on the available medical information. You will coordinate, discuss, and respond to waiver request cases with a variety of authorized military and civilian medical professionals, administrative clients and program managers. You will record brief, coherent notes in the currently used document management system, summarizing relevant medical facts, information, consultations, conversations, and considerations as they pertain to the applicant’s case. You will determine recommendations for waivers of accession physical standards.
