The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0501-11 Financial Management Specialist generally include, but are not limited to, the following: GS-11: Performing a broad range of various financial management activities, such as reviewing & creating transactions and entries for appropriations, allotments, reimbursable accounts, travel, commercial payments, interagency agreements, working capital fund, and funds transfers. Conducting research and analysis to resolve issues such as improper and incorrect payments. Certifying compensation claims, travel authorizations, vouchers, and transactions. Ensuring invoices for payment are in compliance with agency standards and other applicable laws, regulations, and procedures are met or upheld. Collecting, analyzing, and validating cost data to manage resources for assigned program areas.
