SUPERVISORY ASYLUM OFFICER

Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, with Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations, Asylum Division and is assigned based on the need of the agency. Provide technical and administrative direction to Asylum Division staff whose work involves the adjudication of asylum applications and other protection related immigration benefits and screenings. Conduct quality reviews to ensure asylum applications are adjudicated appropriately and that an appropriate level of quality in interviewing, case write-ups, and out-processing is achieved and maintained. Collaborate with Division personnel to optimize work efficiency and effectiveness, which includes sharing resources, forming work groups and project teams to meet Divisional goals while eliminating barriers.
