Supervisory Recreation Specialist

Responsible for the conduct and oversight of fitness training, equipment and staff. Assists to develop and administer a fitness program serving the needs of active duty military and their family members and other authorized patrons. Plans, markets and conducts ongoing fitness programs to provide conditioning for facility users. Instructs individuals and groups in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, body composition and flexibility. Instructs patrons in the proper use of equipment and self-monitored progress by preparing written instructions and procedures for use of equipment and safety of all users. Incumbent plans, evaluates and ensures that the fitness program is meeting the physical development and fitness standards of authorized patrons. Administers the fitness program, instruction on strength conditioning and instructing of fitness equipment.
