Staff Accountant

Reviews applications and supporting statements and visits reinsured companies to obtain financial or operating data concerning crop insurance operations. Works with company representatives to eliminate problems and deficiencies and brings persistent and common problems and trends to the Branch Chief's attention. Works with other Financial Oversight and Debt Management Branch personnel to develop alternative terms to control risk and risk-sharing and meet FCIC objectives and requirements. Conducts financial reviews of reinsured companies to determine the accuracy of premium and losses reported to FCIC.
