Job Title : Warehouseman Summary : Receives, stores, and distributes inventory, materials, tools, equipment, and products by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of handtruck or dolly. Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment. Locates and selects merchandise and verifies against delivery sheet specifications. Delivers and stacks merchandise in stores. Reads shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
