Supervisory Aviation Technical Systems Specialist (Assistant Manager)

This position reports to the Manager of the ADO and serves as the frontline supervisor for the ADO technical staff, as well as the principal adviser to the ADO Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising technical operations within the ADO, which includes 119 Federally funded airports throughout California, including 15 part 139 certified airports. Supervises the work of a highly technically diverse workforce composed of civil engineers, environmental specialists, financial specialists and community planners. The selectee will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight of all these technical areas ensuring coordination and collaboration between the areas, as needed. The selectee is responsible for oversight and supervision of ADO staff administering the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program ensuring, at a high level, the appropriate coordination (both internal and external) takes place.
