Aerospace Engineer (NASA Force) (Direct Hire)

Performs project management for space and aeronautical systems, vehicles, and/or payloads such as: design and operational requirements definition; hardware/software development; managing testing, safety, integration, certification or operations. Investigates phenomena encountered in aerospace flight, monitoring and analyzing unknown or unfamiliar aerospace vehicles, piloting aerospace vehicles, and/or developing aviation safety standards and regulations. Develops, tests, evaluates, researches, operates, maintains, remodels, and/or decommissions aircraft and/or spacecraft. Performs multiple functions such as planning, research, design, development, test and evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management. Conducts specialized studies on flight vehicles, which may include overall and individual major systems components, and additional airborne equipment encompassed in the structure, to ensure their safety, suitability, and effectiveness in operation.
