LEGAL ASSISTANT

1. Performs general law, administrative and clerical duties in support of the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. 2. Provides legal assistance support and guidance to clients. Screens clients to ensure eligibility for legal assistance. Composes powers of attorney, determining type required for the situation, and counsels client on use and legal consequences. 3. Provides paralegal support to the Staff Judge Advocate and other staff attorneys. 4. Assists with the Management of the Buckley SFB Federal Magistrate Court Program. Administers the Buckley SFB Federal Magistrate Court Program. 5. Alternate and backup liaison to the primary VWAP Coordinator. Assists with informing victims of crimes on procedures to obtain assistance and on contacting various agencies.
