About the role
As a Supervisory Contract Specialist at the GS-1102-14 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Planning, developing, and establishing the best contractual strategy for an acquisition, soliciting responses from contractors, performing detailed analysis, negotiating, and awarding different types of contracts. Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Providing advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Interpreting acquisition regulations and policies within the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Justice Acquisition Regulation (JAR), while working under minimal supervision of the Procurement Chief, and exercising reasonable initiative and independent judgment throughout the procurement process.
