About the role
You will serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), Assistant Laser Officer (ALSO), Assistant Electrical, mechanical, Chemical Safety Officer (AESO), and radiation program safety administrator located at the Naval Postgraduate School. You will develop and manage the NPS radiation protection program in accordance with published Navy, Nuclear regulatory Commission and Codified Federal Regulations standards. You will review and evaluate the NPS radiation protection program to determine compliance with pertinent regulations. You will monitor NPS operations involving procurement, receipt, use, storage, handling, measuring, maintaining, transferring, and disposal of radiation producing materials and equipment. You will serve as the point of contact on all radiological matters, licensing and regulatory functions.
