Regional Law Enforcement and Security Director

Responsible for the oversight, direction, and management of the law enforcement and physical security activities of all VA Medical Centers/Health Care Systems, Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) Offices, and local National Cemetery Administration (NCA) properties within the region. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Identifies employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance. Serves as the technical expert for the VA Police Modernization Office which includes law enforcement, police intelligence, investigations, as well as police offense reporting activities. The position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring unity of police services and security operations into a single mission-focused strategy.
