MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

This position is located in the Operations Flight of an Air National Guard (ANG) RED HORSE Squadron. The primary purpose of the position is to perform structural duties associated with the fabrication, installation, inspection, and repair of base facilities, operation and maintenance (O&M) projects, pre-engineered metal building construction projects, and base recovery projects requiring the use of a variety of trade practices such as carpentry, cement finishing, wood crafter, metal fabrication and welding. Manages, constructs, repairs, and modifies structural systems and wooden, masonry, metal, and concrete buildings. Fabricates and repairs components of buildings, utility systems, and real property equipment. Ensures compliance with environmental regulations. Plans and completes work from initial layout to final assembly by interpreting and applying building plans, specifications, methods, techniques, materials, devices and sequences best suited for construction.
