Teller

Agent Cashiers/Teller performs a very critical role within the VA system, and functions independently with a broad knowledge base and receives minimal supervision. Duties involve cashier activities composed of the collection and disbursement of funds and proper distribution of cash items pertaining to the operation of the assigned Medical Center. In this capacity, incumbent is designated as an authorized Agent of the Treasury Department, and is personally held responsible for the Treasury's advance. Duties to include but not limited to: Broad working knowledge of all banking, treasury, accounting procedure, policies to include regulations, practices, procedures, and policies concerning the receipt, disbursement and accountability of funds. Knowledge of a wide variety of interrelated steps, conditions, procedures or processes required to assemble, review, and maintain complex fiscal transactions.
