Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary Contracting

This role collaborates with the DAS (Contracting) to oversee and manage all Air Force contracting programs. Key responsibilities include creating, implementing, and enforcing policies for Air Force contracting operations. The position involves evaluating the efficiency of contracting activities, responding to audit findings to refine management controls, and adapting new technologies to meet strategic missions within resource constraints. The incumbent represents the Department of the Air Force in critical meetings with OSD, other military branches, Congress, the GAO, industry partners, and foreign governments. In these forums, they formulate, advocate for, and resolve significant contracting policy issues.
