About the role

Provides guidance on defensive measures that reduce or eliminate vulnerabilities of individuals and property to acts of terrorism. Monitors compliance with all Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) reporting and implementation procedures. Assesses unit security readiness and monitors response forces to deter and withstand terrorist attacks. Recommends command corrective actions and issuance of command directives to prevent shortcomings and improve measures to safeguard units, soldiers, civilians, and facilities within the enterprise. Oversees the development of plans, policies, inspections, and exercises to address OPSEC, Physical Security or Emergency Management.
