About the role
The position is located in the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the Department of the Interior (Department) and reports to the Deputy Director for Administration and Programs. The incumbent carries out the following specific responsibilities: 1. The Assistant Director for Business Management and Administration serves as a principal participant along with the Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Directors of the Bureau in formulating, developing, and refining major resources management and fiscal policies. 2. The incumbent serves as the executive liaison for budget development and execution, oversight of fiscal assets, procurement, real/personal/information property, accounting principles and standards, organization management/analysis, strategic planning coordination, leadership in performance measurement, and process reengineering. 3. The incumbent develops and formulates plans, activities, and initiatives designed to enhance and improve efficient and effective Bureau operations
