About the role
I am building a real-time fantasy soccer platform launching June 10th with the World Cup. I have an open source scoring engine as the base. I need a backend engineer to adapt it to our custom rules and integrate it with our live data feed. This is a flat-fee contract — $3,000–$4,500 for a defined deliverable. Paid in two tranches. Front-loaded work, most of it done in the first 30 days. U.S.-based, 1099. What I am looking for:
— Comfortable working inside an existing open source codebase
— Node.js background
— Understands event-driven architecture
— Enough soccer knowledge to sanity-check scoring logic
