About the role
Duties Include: Accurately and competently operates imaging equipment, utilizing the least amount of radiation to obtain quality images for diagnostic and localization purposes. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. Technologist must be familiar with radiation safety policies and procedures. Reduce exposure to patients, staff and self. Will wear lead aprons, gloves, and shields as needed. Will wear film badge and exchange it in a timely manner. Technologist is competent in all service policies pertaining to the assigned work section. Makes changes in workflow or assignment of functions to position to improve workflow and services rendered, promote job satisfaction, increase productivity, and ensure emergent work is done promptly and efficiently. Handles substantial changes in workload demand including justifying changes in staffing levels, priorities and deadlines. Responsible for overall neatness and cleanliness of the CT rooms.
