About the role
As a Training Specialist, GS-1702-09, you will oversee the Group Training Programs and Subordinate Unit Compliance. This position serves as the Group Unit Training Manager (UTM) and operates under the direction of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) - Force Development Office (FDO). The incumbent acts as the primary advisor to the Group Commander /A-Staff Director on training policy and execution across subordinate units. They lead the planning, development, and evaluation of group-wide education and training initiatives, establishing a cohesive training strategy and ensuring compliance through coordination with subordinate or assigned Unit Training Managers (UTMs). The incumbent provides policy interpretation, as directed through the FDO, from Headquarters (HQ) and Major Command (MAJCOM) levels, ensuring the seamless integration of these policies into all unit-level training programs.
