About the role
JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of equipment maintenance and management of a variety of ARNG equipment is required. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Serves as a recognized authority on the repair and operation of various types of ARNG equipment. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance regarding maintenance management systems, material readiness programs, cost reduction programs, and maintenance shop practices in maintenance facilities.
