PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST

As a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-9, you will perform the following duties: 1. Responsible for the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program. Advises the MAJCOM SF IDS program manager of any base or site activities that will impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) program. This includes, but is not limited to, mission changes resulting in increase or decrease of resources, reconfiguration of resource areas, and construction of facilities on or in the vicinity of current and planned sensor locations. Reports and documents all IDS maintenance requirements to the servicing maintenance organization. Monitors IDS false and nuisance alarms and, when necessary, requests assistance from the maintenance organization to resolve problems and deficiency.
