About the role

The QMO duties are listed below but are not inclusive of all responsibilities required of this executive position. Additional tasks may be assigned to meet evolving VISN and organizational needs. Executes leadership and innovative approaches in complex administrative and clinical services. Functions as an executive leader, administrator, and consultant with authority to improve care through strategic planning, organizational assessment, quality and patient safety program development and evaluation, policy development, and execution. Serves as principal advisor to the Network Director on quality and patient safety and as a member of the VISN Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Clinical Triad with the CMO and CNO. Establishes quality and patient safety standards, ensures compliance, and addresses deficiencies. Serves as executive leader for regional healthcare markets to ensure continuous, safe, and timely care. Acts as catalyst for integration and collaboration of market quality/safety
