TRAINING SPECIALIST

As the Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties: (If selected at the GS-09 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity) Manages and oversees assigned DeCA training programs, ensuring alignment with agency mission, goals, and workforce needs. Develops, evaluates, updates, and instructs courses, applying qualitative and quantitative analysis to measure training effectiveness and identify improvements. Plans, schedules, and coordinates training events, including facilities, logistics, travel arrangements, vendor communication, and classroom/virtual instruction support. Designs and develops new training programs by tailoring commercial off-the-shelf materials and incorporating feedback, surveys, and emerging tools or techniques. Serves as a training advisor and career development counselor to supervisors and employees, providing guidance on training needs, opportunities, and program requirements.
