About the role
This position reports to the Manager of the ADO and serves as the front-line supervisor for the ADO technical staff, as well as the principal adviser to the ADO Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising technical operations within the ADO which includes 2 large, 3 medium and 7 small hub airports. This responsibility includes 199 Federally funded airports throughout states of Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee. The selectee is responsible for overseeing and directing the implementation of all Federal Airport Funding programs, the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program ensuring, at a high level, the appropriate coordination (both internal and external) takes place. The AIP approaches $250 million dollars annually, and the Passenger Facility Charge Program entails more than $204 million dollars in annual collections.
