About the role
You will conduct safety and occupational health workplace and program evaluations and surveys. You will plan, schedule, and conduct periodic scheduled and unscheduled inspections and surveys of assigned facilities and operations to identify safety and occupational health hazards and to evaluate for compliance with applicable standards. You will act as a technical advisor to military and civilian supervisors on matters that could affect the safety and health of personnel, equipment, and/or facilities. You will investigate injuries and illnesses which may result in the permanent or temporary disability of a worker due to workplace mishaps. You will be responsible for establishing, managing, overseeing, auditing, and evaluating the safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal Regulations and Navy policy.
