About the role
The Immediate Office includes the Inspector General (IG), the Principal Deputy Inspector General (PDIG), the Chief of Staff, and their support staff. The Immediate Office manages the statutory mission of OIG as a whole; promotes effective OIG internal quality assurance systems; plans, directs, and participates in a variety of interagency and intergovernmental cooperatives relating to fraud and abuse; and manages OIG's external affairs activities, including the Congressional Affairs function. The incumbent, as the Director for Congressional Affairs, is responsible for and leads the full range of Congressional engagements for the OIG, including the planning, management, coordination, staff supervision, and Congressionally related legal matters. The duties of the position will include: Prepares and briefs OIG executives on Congressional, legislative, and related legal matters.
