Troop Support Planner

Serves as a principal Troop Support Supply Chain planner, advisor, and consultant to the assigned COCOM or agency regarding logistics planning in support of DoD Executive Agent supply. Coordinates with and advises the COCOM Planners on DLA Troop Support and DLA Troop Support OCONUS ability to enhance combat readiness. Prepares Situation Reports (SITREPS), point papers, trip reports, staff reports, and develops and finalizes Operation Plans (OPLANs) and annexes. Evaluates theater/contingency operation plans and assesses Troop Support’s supporting tasks and missions. Resolves operation plan shortfalls, limitations and other conditions that impact on DLA’s ability to perform its wartime logistics support mission. Develops, reviews and evaluates applicable deliberate, contingency and exercise plans for completeness and accuracy in conjunction with defense activity use.
