About the role
In this Training Specialist position with the Office of Training and Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that cultivate improvement through employee training and education initiatives and that aligns our workforce with our mission and key organizational strategies. This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Major Duties: Leading the full lifecycle of complex training programs (designing, developing, implementing, and delivering) in support of CBP operational and law enforcement missions at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. Planning, designing, and updating curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides, student materials, and multimedia/technology-enabled learning tools using adult learning principles and modern instructional methods (e.g., simulations, scenario-based exercises, blended learning).
