Motor Vehicle Operator

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate a variety of vehicles (gas, diesel, and/or electric) with varying number of axles, weights, and control systems. Transport patients, their caregivers, and associated medical support equipment throughout the medical campus. Perform appropriate load distribution and securing of loads when maneuvering large vehicles in confined areas that are congested with other vehicles and/or pedestrian traffic. Evaluate conditions and limits of roads, and assess traffic hazards. Practice defensive driving techniques at all times while operating vehicles in the performance of job duties. Assume responsibility for the safety of all passengers in the vehicle being operated; to include instructing passengers in posted rules for riding in the vehicle. Perform proper loading/unloading of patients and equipment to prevent damage to the cargo, injury to the passengers, or damage to the vehicle. Complete trip tickets, and inspection records (as req
