SECRETARY (OA)

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Gulf of America Region (GOAR), Regional Supervisor Production & Development and Regional Supervisor District Field Operations, Jefferson, LA. At the full performance level (GS-7) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Prepares explanations to support budget requests. Recommends approval or disapproval of expenditure requests based on availability of funds. 2. Examines, validates, and certifies for payment all invoices and supporting documents form contractors/vendors, and credit card purchases. Contacts vendors/contractors to correct any discrepancies and resolve problems. 3. Responsible for the preparation and submission of various accounting, fiscal, and budget reports. Information to prepare the reports and support financial documents is compiled from a variety of sources. 4. Prepares all travel authorizations and travel
