ASSISTANT AREA DIRECTOR

As the Assistant Area Director, you will be responsible for the following duties: Serves as the Assistant Area Director within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Store Operations Group, supporting CONUS and OCONUS stores. Acts as the full deputy and alter ego to the Area Director for the East Area, assuming responsibility for operational oversight in the Director's absence. Exercises full managerial authority to plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate the operational, administrative, and mission-related activities of the East Area organization. Oversees the execution of tactical operations for all commissaries within the Eastern geographic region, ensuring compliance with agency policies, performance standards, and mission objectives. Administers and manages a multi-appropriation financial program, ensuring operations are aligned with complex Department of War (DoW) planning, budgeting, and funding requirements.
