Manages a program requiring a dynamic administrative approach to continual changes in regulations and executive orders and to newly mandated ones. In addition to occupational safety and fire protection, develops and implements programs for hazardous waste and emergency response operations, recycling, pollution prevention, ozone reduction, storm water management, lead and asbestos abatement, storage tank management, air pollution emissions and toxic chemical inventories.
